Is Virginia’s motto changing from Virginia is for Lovers to Virginia is for Landfills?

CCLA Members Demonstration – Governor Came to Town
Not sure if the Governor saw the sign or not, but we sure do hope so. It was a short notice, but supporters got together, made the signs, and early in the morning were out on Route 60 – close to the entry to the proposed mega landfill. Thank all who were there and those who traveled Route 60 and sounded your horns to let us know you support our cause.

CCLA Member Iris Grimsley, pictured above stated, “A lot of people saw us and maybe some found out about the landfill that didn’t know about it.” Iris is also part of the group that was working until 10 p.m. the night before making signs. Others who helped set up were – Ron and Gerry Tavernier, Mike Serato, and Chris Rankin.
