This Sunday, November 10, 2019, is our November Community Townhall Meeting. We will meet at the New Community Center located at 11 Davenport Road, Cumberland, VA at 3 p.m. Guest speaker for this meeting is Dr. Amy Griffin, Superintendent of Cumberland County Schools. She is speaking on Student Environmental Projects. Come out and learn what projects our students are doing to protect our environment.
Since it is the day before Veterans Day, we are honoring all those who served to protect our freedoms. “Thank You” to all veterans – your service is greatly appreciated.
KAINE LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN
Sunday is also the kickoff for our letter writing campaign to Senator Tim Kaine. Senator Kaine continues to seek funds to clean up the Chesapeake Bay. The letter urges him to take an ounce a prevention and stop adverse things such as the landfill, before there is contamination of the Chesapeake Bay and the need to spend $$$ on clean-up.
The process is simple – go to www.lovecentralVA.com/tim-kaine-landfill-letter-4 pages and print off the letter, sign it, place in envelope, put a stamp on it, and mail it out on November 18, 2019. The idea is to have Senator Kaine receive hundreds of the letter urging him to stop adverse things prior to them polluting the Chesapeake Bay. Just keep in mind the effectiveness of the Letters to Santa in “Miracle on 34th Street”.
