AUGUST TOWNHALL COMMUNITY MEETING THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 8TH
This meeting will be a combination offering you two ways to attend and particpate. The first choice is to join us in-person at 11 Davenport Road, Cumberland, Virginia, at 3 p.m. Seating will be set up using the recommended 6 feet social distancing as prescribed in Executive Order #63. Masks or other face coverings should be worn in accordance with Executive Order #63. Hand sanitizer will be available and all seats will be wiped down prior to the meeting and before they are put away. No refreshments or drinks will be available at this meeting. You do have the option to bring your own drink to the meeting.
The second way to attend the meeting is to join us at 3 p.m. by phone. The number to call is 1-571-317-3112 & enter access code 378-814-269. You will be able to hear the entire meeting and ask questions. It actually worked pretty well last month.
CCLA wants to take this opportunity to express a big “Thank You” to Mr. Angeles with the Sierra Club. He is instrumental in setting up the meeting so people can attend by phone. The virtual meetings held earlier this year were possible due to Mr. Angeles. Thank you, Mr. Angeles, and the Sierra Club for all your support.
Please feel free to print the flyer and share the information your friends, neighbors, and others. We all must do our part to protect our environment as we continue the proposed mega landfill in Cumberland County, Virginia.
Take care during the storm – stay safe. Talk with you on Sunday, August 9, 2020, either in person or by phone.
