On Friday, October 11, 2020, DEQ sent to Green Ridge Recycling the attached letter stating they found both the Notice of Indent (NOI) and Part A application to be “administratively complete”. We are researching just what this means and will let you know as we obtain more information.
IT’S NOT A DONE DEAL!!!
You may hear from others (i.e. Green Ridge folks) that the proposed mega landfill is a DONE DEAL – it is not!! We have a lot of fight left in us and we must keep in mind there is “Strength in Unity” and every day we gain in numbers opposing this – national, state, local and individuals. This will not be a done deal until the first piece of TRASH is accepted at the site – which will not happen as long as this project is not good for Cumberland and Powhatan counties nor entire State of Virginia. Thank you for your support!!
New Address for Green Ridge DEQ Website
This is the new DEQ website for the Green Ridge proposed mega landfill. You may need to right click and then click on “open link in new tab” and it will take you to the revised website.
DEQ continues to work on transferring the information from the prior website to the new. As of today, there is a lot of the information on the new site, but it not complete.
